Description
4 wire, 24 AWG shielded copper communication cable, UL certified, Made in Korea, Compare to Belden 9842
Sold by the foot.
According to inverter and battery manufacturers the #1 reason for tech support calls is due to communications problems. Get started the right way with our shielded communication cable. This cable uses a RoHS compliant, UL 444 flame retardant .34" PVC Jacket as an outer layer. The communications cables are further protected with Aluminum tape and braided tinned copper shielding as well as a 24AWG Drain Wire. Four 100% Copper, 24AWG (7x32), insulated wire are used for your communications signals.
This is top of the line communication cable for Modbus, Canbus, and RS485 communication.
Use this cable to connect Tigo TAP to Tigo CCA. Read the Tigo Cable Types Guide here. According to Tigo "It is highly recommended that ferrules be used on the wire ends to ensure a tight connection...Loose wires are a common cause for service calls."
Use as Sol-ark to battery communications cable. Read the Sol-ark Battery integration guide here.
Do not use this cable in current carrying conductor. Refer to NEC 300.3(C) and use our 600v rated cable.
Pro tip - connect drain wire to ground on just one side of your connection. This helps prevent ground loops and noise issues that can disrupt communication. The drain wire acts as a drain for any noise picked up by the shield, diverting it to ground.
