Free Coffee (with purchase of THHN Wire)

It’s a funny story about how I ended up unloading pallets of MidNite Solar gear out of the back of a pickup truck with the former president of a large regional New England bank, and into another empty bank I had just rented and was in the process of converting into my battery testing lab. Well, not funny so much as absurd and hopefully entertaining for you to read about. More of a book then a blog post, and a wild tale that brings us through the sunburnt beaches of Costa Rica to the snow covered mountains of a New Hampshire ski resort, involving a now deceased Sri Lankian monk (Rest in Peace my friend), a radio station in Madagascar, a helicopter repeatedly dropping Morningstar controllers into the Arctic circle and cold hard cash being paid for bootleg solar panels. Well, maybe we don’t tell that last story till we find out the statute of limitations on solar panel smuggling in central America.

I’m getting ahead of myself. I have a drive through window stocked full of solar breakers. I’m not kidding, it’s a drive up window like the Dunks next door. Again, absurd. No one wants to drive up and buy a MNEPV63, but they could if they swing by Solamp.

So I have Robin’s charge controllers in stock. A pallet of David’s racking en route from CA. LaForge on deck to teach some classes. I have a few half assembled Radian systems on the bench waiting to power up my lab. We got the solar OG’s here. And the new kids too- there is a container of lithium batteries and hybrid inverters on the sea from China that should be landing in Boston in a few weeks. Things are heating up.

So swing by the Solamp solar drive through and buy a combiner box and a cup of coffee. Nothing fancy, just a standard office Keurig k cup with some of that creamer that somehow doesn’t need to be refrigerated. The coffee is free, just like Building 19 used to have. Remember that, free coffee at Building 19. Good times.

To be continued, or maybe not.
