The balancer turns on automatically when the charge voltage of a 24V battery system increases to more than 27.3V. It then begins comparing and equalizing the voltage between the series-connected batteries.
Can I use this balancer for a 48V battery bank?+
Yes. While one balancer is used for a 24V system (two 12V batteries), you can parallel three Battery Balancers to effectively balance a 48V battery bank.
How much current does the balancer draw to equalize the batteries?+
The unit will draw a current of up to 0.7A from the battery (or parallel string) with the highest voltage to ensure all batteries converge to the same state of charge.
