Energy Production (Solar)
Definition: Energy production is the total amount of electricity a solar panel generates over a specific period. It's measured in watt-hours (Wh) or kilowatt-hours (kWh).
Analogy: Think of it like the total distance a car has traveled over a certain time.
Measurement: It's calculated by multiplying the power output by the time duration. For example, if a panel produces an average of 200 W for 5 hours, its energy production is 1000 Wh (or 1 kWh).
Timeframe: Energy production can be measured over an hour, a day, a month, a year, or the entire lifetime of the system.
Relevance: Energy production is what you see on your electricity bill if you have a grid-tied solar system. It's the actual electricity you've generated and either used yourself or sent back to the grid.
